Reiki (pronounced Ray-key) is a gentle, non-invasive Japanese form of energy work that helps to balance the body’s energy system, which in turn promotes stress reduction, relaxation, and healing. The word Reiki is made of two Japanese words - Rei which means "Universal life" and Ki which is "Energy".
Reiki is administered by a gentle laying of hands on the body or the placing of hands within your energy field in an effort to help move the energy force in your body. Reiki is gentle and safe enough for everyone, from babies and pregnant women, to the elderly and those who are sick or injured.
Most people who experience a Reiki session note a feeling of calm and relaxation throughout their sessions. It is a wonderful way to promote healing, health, and overall wellbeing in the body.
